2014 Worlds begin in Saitama, Japan - will you be watching?

The post-Olympic ISU Worlds Figure Skating Championships run from March 24th through 30th with several changes in participants from those who competed in Sochi. The schedule, entries and results are available here. The times are local in Japan.

The Canadian team in Saitama consists of 11 entries (17 skaters), the same number who participated in Sochi but with several skater changes. Read all about the team in this Skate Canada press release. Nam Nguyen will be competing in Saitama, fresh from his win at World Juniors in Sofia, Bulgaria.

There will be several options available in Canada for watching the competition - CBC will have TV highlights each afternoon and evening, beginning with a preview on Tuesday. Live TV coverage, with commentary by PJ Kwong, will be available overnight every night on Sportsnet1 (SN1), beginning Tuesday. CBC will also have a live stream available on cbcsports.ca. Information on the CBC afternoon schedule and live stream can be found on the two tabs here. CBC-TV evening coverage is not mentioned but was promoted during the broadcasts of World Juniors. Check your local schedules! The Sportsnet1 schedule should be quite similar to the live stream.
