Trophée Eric Bompard - 5th Grand Prix event

The Trophée Eric Bompard (TEB) takes place in Paris, France from Nov. 15-17 and there will be significant Canadian participation, including Patrick Chan who will be competing with a rising Chinese skater, Yan Han as described in the linked CBC article. The ISU has also posted a preview article.

The schedule/entries/results can be found here.

CBC will be providing TV and online coverage on Saturday, Nov. 16th.

Looking ahead to the final event of the series, the Rostelecom Cup in Moscow next week, there have been two withdrawals of interest. Kaetlyn Osmond of Canada withdrew due to a hamstring injury, the same problem which caused her to withdraw during Skate Canada International. Evgeni Plushenko of Russia, having achieved the minimum score necessary (if selected by Russia) to participate in the Olympics at the recent Volvo Cup in Riga, Latvia withdrew due to a "micro-injury" of his knee suffered in practice.

Participants in the Grand Prix series continue to compete for points to qualify for the finale to take place in Japan in early December. To check the current standings, in each discipline, click on the links here.
